Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, I have lived in many parts of the United States and in Europe. From the North to the South and the Midwest to Florida, Oklahoma to North Carolina and Indiana and Kentucky to Florida, I have experienced the joy of getting to know neighbors and believe that part of what makes America great is the shared experience of sharing the dream no matter what part of this land we call home.

I was educated in Arkansas and hold a BA degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. My graduate work includes Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition I did further doctoral work in history at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Apart from two years in the Army serving in Frankfurt, Germany, my first career was in ministry and teaching. I have taught in several major universities and seminaries and on occasion serve as an Adjunct Professor at the Seminary of the Southwest here in Austin.

My second career was in management and operations with a Fortune 500 retail chain. In addition to learning a lot about business I had a thorough education in the workings of corporate America. It has helped me repeatedly in knowing what folks are going through as they move from place to place serving companies large and small.

Since 1996, I have been a REALTOR, first for a year in Florida and then in Austin with REMAX, Heart of Texas, Realtors. I believe that education is key to the high level of service that is a part of good real estate. I hold the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and the Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI) designations and have since 1997 participated in the Star Power program learning from many of the finest REALTORS across the United States and across the world.
